Firecrawl integration in BeKnow
Firecrawl gives BeKnow eyes on pages: it reads the real content of your URLs and of the sources AI models cite. The key stays yours and you pay usage directly to Firecrawl.
What you can do
Audit a page of your site
- Data it produces
- The page's real text, heading structure, entities and coverage gaps
- Where you see it
- Page audit
Extract the content of indexed pages
- Data it produces
- Readable content of the URLs that bring traffic, not just the URL
- Where you see it
- Memory → content inventory
Verify the sources AI models cite
- Data it produces
- Citation fact check: what the cited page actually says
- Where you see it
- Measure → AI answer detail
Crawl the sitemap
- Data it produces
- Full inventory of published pages, with duplicates and orphans
- Where you see it
- Memory → sitemap
Compare your page with who gets cited
- Data it produces
- Coverage differences between your content and the cited source
- Where you see it
- Page audit → comparison
Keep the inventory fresh
- Data it produces
- Re-reads changed pages so memory doesn't go stale
- Where you see it
- Memory → updates

What happens without this key
The rest of the platform works normally. Only the features that require actually reading a page stay off.
- Page audit is unavailable
- Verification of AI-cited sources stays empty
- The content inventory stops at URLs, without the text
- No comparison between your page and the cited source
Cost
You pay Firecrawl for usage under your own plan and BeKnow applies no markup. Usage grows with the number of pages read, so you can keep it low by crawling only the URLs that matter.
Frequently asked questions
Is Firecrawl mandatory?
No, it's a step 2 integration. You need it only for page audits, real content inventory and verification of AI-cited sources.
How is it different from Search Console?
Search Console tells you which pages bring traffic and for which queries. Firecrawl reads what those pages actually contain: two halves of the same picture.
Can I crawl sites that aren't mine?
Yes, reading works on any public URL: that's how BeKnow verifies the sources models cite and compares competitor pages.
How much does one audit consume?
An audit reads the given page and, if you ask, the sources to compare. Usage is proportional to pages read and you control it from your Firecrawl plan.
Can the key be revoked?
Yes, from the Firecrawl dashboard. BeKnow instantly loses the ability to read pages and the related features go back to off.
