Introduction
Welcome to BeKnow. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and strictly complying with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

1. Data Accessed
To provide our services, BeKnow requests access to the following specific types of Google User Data:

Google Account Information: We access your Email address, Full Name, Profile Picture, and Google Account ID (via OpenID Connect) solely for authentication and account creation purposes.

YouTube Data: We access your channel's video list, video metadata (titles, descriptions, statistics), and captions/transcripts (via YouTube Data API v3).

Google Search Console Data: We access aggregated search metrics such as queries, impressions, clicks, and position data (via Google Search Console API).

2. Data Usage
We use the Google User Data we access solely to provide or improve the user-facing features of the BeKnow application:

Authentication: To log you in and manage your session.

SEO & Strategy Dashboard: We process Google Search Console metrics to display your ranking performance and identify content opportunities.

Content Generation & Optimization: We use your YouTube video transcripts and metadata as context to generate optimized titles, descriptions, scripts, and "RAG Knowledge Base" responses upon your specific request. We do not use Google User Data for any other purpose.

3. Data Sharing
We do not sell Google User Data. We only share data with third parties in the following limited scenarios necessary to provide the service:

AI Service Providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic): When you use a generative AI feature (e.g., "Generate Script"), specific user-provided data (such as a video transcript or keyword) is sent to these providers. These providers process data solely for the purpose of generating the requested content and do not use your data to train their foundational models.

Cloud Infrastructure: Our application logic is hosted on Vercel Inc., and our landing page is hosted on Hostinger International Ltd. These providers simply host the code and databases where data is stored encrypted; they do not access the data for their own purposes.

4. Data Storage & Protection
We take the security of your data seriously and employ the following measures:

Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (using HTTPS/TLS) and at rest in our databases.

Access Control: We use Row Level Security (RLS) in our database, ensuring that your data is strictly accessible only by your authenticated workspace account.

Location: Our primary infrastructure relies on servers located in the United States (Vercel) and the European Union, complying with Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

5. Data Retention & Deletion
Retention: We retain your personal information and data fetched from Google APIs only for as long as your account is active to provide you with the BeKnow services.

Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your data at any time. You can delete your account directly from the application settings or by emailing info@beknow.io. Upon request or account deletion, all your data (including authentication tokens and cached metrics) is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6. Google Limited Use Disclosure
BeKnow’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

No Advertising: We do not use or transfer your data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.

No Unauthorized Sharing: We do not share your data with third parties for AI model training outside of your specific, user-initiated requests.

7. User Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, please contact info@beknow.io.

8. Revoking Access
You can revoke BeKnow’s access to your Google data at any time via the Google Security Settings (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions). Revoking access stops all data synchronization and removes authentication tokens from our database.
